About the role
We are looking for a Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering events from concept to completion, with at least three years experience in a similar role. The successful applicant will fulfil a vital role in managing new and existing JHAV projects, linking JHAV staff and resources with existing and new clients.
You will need to work closely with the operations and technical teams, producing detailed proposals, event scheduling and detailed briefing documents from kit lists, plans, to RAMS.
The Project Manager will be expected to work weekends and evenings, as well as away from home from time to time.
Accountability is exercised through weekly team meetings to discuss current issues, goals, and overall direction. You will work closely with the other Project Managers within the business.
Principal duties and responsibilities
Key Account Management for a core group of clients, specifying and managing their events from concept to completion, and understanding clients’ needs to provide creative and cost effective solutions.
Creating and delivering pitches and proposals to clients.
Developing your own client portfolio.
Sourcing cost effective third-party suppliers and contracts where necessary.
Working with the operations team and event technicians to ensure equipment is in excellent condition and ready for each event.
Maintaining an overview of the industry at large, keeping abreast of new products and techniques which may be of use to JHAV.
Maintaining accurate paperwork and CRM Management tools.
Acting as a subject matter expert for other JHAV staff members within your stated areas of expertise.
Qualifications, skills, and attributes
Essential
Proven track record of successful live and corporate event production.
Experience in planning and budgeting for medium and large scale contracts.
Experience delivering large scale shows, in either audio, lighting or video capacities.
Understanding of all areas of the industry, corporate, live, theatre and touring.
Strong attention to detail, conscientious and resourceful working practice.
Highly organised, with strong timekeeping and communication. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to set own priorities, make decisions, and work under own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Physically fit and able, including working at height.
Proficiency with common desktop productivity software (MS Office Suite, OpenOffice, etc).
Desirable
UK driving licence.
Experience with design systems such as Vectorworks, DB Array Calc, Noize Calc etc, Capture, WYSIWYG, Autocad and Sketchup.
Knowledge of Current RMS or similar invoice and stock control systems.
Knowledge of event technical equipment and the ability to design and spec complex equipment.
Audio system design and deployment (distributed point source systems, line array rigging, subwoofer arrays, etc).
Business planning and cost/benefit analysis skills.
An ability to encourage client migration.
