Jamie
Managing Director
Jamie works on the corporate side of the business and has over two decades’ experience dealing with blue chip companies and video technology. Jamie thrives on offering clients state of the art technology and service that exceeds all expectations. The success of JHAV? It’s down to the quality and commitment of the people that work in it.
The most influential person Jamie’s bumped into on a JHAV event was Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, he was dressed as a 7 foot tall goth rocker! If you’re coming to the office for a visit, bring some biscuits, fruit ones are Jamie’s favourite.

John
Head of Production/Project Manager
John’s years of production management mean he’s amassed a wealth of knowledge. He works on our special projects dealing with all aspects of event production and health and safety on site. A lighting designer at heart, he’s passionate about delivering unique events.
We asked John: what’s the most memorable JHAV event you’ve worked on?
“Without a doubt, Illuminate Festival of Light. Playing a lead role in bringing a light festival of that scale to Plymouth has been an amazing experience. I’ve worked with student and internationally acclaimed artists whilst also getting the opportunity to be creative myself! Watching people walk around the site, listening to their conversations and how much they enjoy it makes all the hard work worthwhile.”

Sarah
Office Manager
Sarah is the glue that holds the JHAV office and team together.
Based in Liskeard she’s often the first point of contact for clients. When she asks how you are – she means it. After more than 20 years as an event hire office manager, Sarah knows all too well the long hours event teams put into delivering for their clients. She also gives the best hugs on this side of the Tamar.
Sarah’s hobbies include exploring the beautiful Cornish countryside with the family and their two dogs! And if you’re making coffee, hers is a flat white, please.

Stewart
Warehouse Supervisor
Stewart may be a new addition to the team, but he spent many years working closely with us as a JHAV client prior to coming on board. As Warehouse Supervisor, it’s Stewart’s job to ensure the warehouse runs like a well-oiled machine and is always on hand to help the team with any issues, putting his 35 years of industry experience to good use. Stewart likes that JHAV is a close knit, family-run business where the team look out for each other every day.
Outside of work, Stewart is currently renovating his sixth house, an 18th century farmhouse. He is a big fan of milk chocolate hobnobs, 80s music and The Italian Job (but definitely not the remake!). Stewart also plays the trombone, but is currently suffering from lack of practice.

Jerome
Event Technician/Project Coordinator
Personable and always with a smile, Jerome’s attention to detail on site is first class. He loves a bit of banter and is never afraid to ask a question. Jerome likes supporting local bands and musicians. He has lots of hobbies including photography, coarse fishing, clay pigeon shooting and national hunt horse racing (both watching and syndicated ownership!).
We asked Jerome: what’s the best part of working for JHAV?
“For me JHAV is definitely a continuously growing company but manages to keep the close-knit community and family feel. JHAV gives staff and freelancers the opportunity to grow and build their skills with a solid support network behind them.”

Sarah H
Events and Marketing Co-ordinator
Sarah oversees the coordination of crew, transport logistics and accommodation bookings for the JHAV team, alongside crafting social media content and contributing to marketing.
With a rich background of 12 years of stage and production experience spanning the South West, London and beyond, Sarah is looking forward to using her organisational skills to support a range of exciting events.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys the first sip of tea in the morning, practicing yoga and embarking on day trips around Devon with her family.

Oliver
JHAV Technician
Having had an interest in the world of events from a young age, joining JHAV as a technician was a natural step for Oliver. He has built up a wealth of practical experience and has become a highly respected member of the team. Specialising in lighting design, installation and operation, Oliver’s role is varied and means he can be found in the warehouse prepping kit one day and out installing lighting and staging at an event the next.
Oliver enjoys his role because it allows him to work collaboratively with the whole JHAV team on a variety of projects in a variety of locations. He also likes that working as a technician allows him to see behind the scenes of a range of events. Oliver spends most of his free time with his friends and enjoys going on long walks with his family and their dogs.

Jamie S
Warehouse Technician
Jamie is the newest edition to the JHAV team, working in the warehouse preparing and maintaining the equipment that goes out to all our amazing events across the year. From his 15 years’ experience working in the industry as a Technician and Lighting Designer at venues and outdoor events across the UK, he has a wide variety of skills which he draws upon to ensure the equipment going out from the warehouse is ready for the team to do their magic!
Jamie likes that JHAV work on wide variety of events across the year (and across the world!), stock cutting-edge equipment and have a knowledgeable and friendly in-house and freelance team.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys days out with his family, building Lego, and mountain biking with his friends in the beautiful Southwest.
